1- MCB Changeover Switch:

MCB changeover is a latest electrical device which is used for operating two source, one is EB source and other is DG backup source. It is operated as manually. One time one source can be connected.

3- Working principle of MCB Changeover Switch:

MCB changeover switch is used for two different sources which is connected one time one source. One connecting handle and three terminals are available as Off, source 1 and source 2.
If we want to connect output from source-1 then we will have to move handle towards source-1 position. If we want to connect output from source-2 then we will have to move handle source-2 position. If we want to disconnect both sources then we will have to keep handle in Off position.

4- Types of MCB Changeover Switch:

  1. According to Phase:
    • Single Phase
    • Three Phase
  2. According to Pole:
    • Double Pole
    • Three Pole
    • Four Pole
  3. According to current ratings:
    • 25A, 40A, 63A
